Hello

I have been sewing ever since I can remember! First being taught by my Mum where my love for making clothes began. I then went on to study Fashion Design at Bournemouth university showing my final menswear collection at Graduate Fashion Week. I was lucky enough to gain experience on Saville Row working for talented tailors who's skills were incredible to watch! I also worked for young upcoming designers, pattern cutting and physically making the collections that went down the catwalk at London Fashion Week. I then landed my first job working as a pattern cutter and shirt maker on Jermyn street. My career then took me to fashion brands such as Reiss, ASOS and a maternity brand called Seraphine. Then in 2023 I had my son Percy, I no longer wanted to commute in to London for work and had always dreamed of building a business where I can sew everyday but also be around others. Ever since moving to Tring in 2015, I have loved the community feel which I think is rare to come by and I really want to expand on this. I found great local groups through exercise and sport, but I wanted the same for a creative outlet, so this has led me to start Sewing Squad. A creative community to learn, be inspired, meet people and do a great hobby in the company of others. It wont stop at Sewing, if you have a creative skill you would like to share such as crochet, knitting lino printing, life drawing, this list is endless, please feel free to contact me as I would love to open my sewing room up to all creative activities.
